"I love the Red River series of books. This one is no exception, the characters and storyline are great. If you have not read any of these books, please start with the first one, which is Ella and Cooper’s story, then go to Angelique and Doc Holloway in book two, continue with Miranda and Talmadge in book three and finally Lorenda (Langston’s sister) and Mitchell in book four. These couples have made Red River so darn popular; I know they will appear somehow in a new book.
Although book five did not have much on Ella and Cooper, which is my favorite couple of all, this book was still entertaining. Red River is a small town and like such, everyone knows everything, which creates for much needed drama and love. This story is about Langston and Sandra. Sandra is a woman trying to make it on her own especially after being shame as a teenager for taking the fall for something her no-good father did. Sandra was determined to start a new life where people did not know her but in order to do this meant to lose the only love she knew which was Langston. Langston is as stubborn as can be, so when asked by the council member to work closely on a project for the town with Sandra, he jumped at the opportunity. This is where the story gets good as Sandra is trying to create space between them and he is trying to close it. Will Sandra get away from her fears and allow love to engulf her as it should.

- It's In His Forever is a short read about Sandra who can't out live her past. She took the blame from something her father did when she was young. She secretly saw Langston Brooks for 10 years and when he wanted more from that relationship she broke it off.
She's now running an International Sporting Evening in town and Langston is now a member of the event and using it as a way to get close to Sandra to show her that they are not over. Their chemistry is off the chart.
Before the event Sandra was planning on leaving town and starting over elsewhere as she doesn't think she can ever get behind her past. Can Langston show her that life can be different or will he be hurt by her not telling him that she's leaving him behind. - This is my first time reading this author and this is the 5th book into a series, but I don’t feel like that affected my ability to enjoy the story.
This was a great, quick read that was just the perfect amount of sweet and sexy. The pace of the story was good and the characters were fantastic. I will absolutely be reading more from this author, especially the earlier books in this series. - I’ve enjoyed all of the books in the Red River series. This one continues the series in a great way. You really get a sense of the long relationship between Langston and Sandra and are just rooting for redemption for her and for them to find their way as a couple. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
- My only disappointment with this one was that it wasn't longer!! I would've read a full length about Langston any day, but it was still great to catch up with some old favorites from past Red River books. This was a quick visit back to Red River, but it was still quirky with the same tempo as all of the past books. If you are a fan of series - Red River is for you!

If you are looking for a quickly paced, light, and amusing diversion with bits of small-town complications and angst mixed with a bit of steam, a lot of snow, and a HEA love story - then look no further. I have enjoyed all the lively installments of Shelly Alexander’s Red River Valley Series, each can be read as a standalone yet interconnect and revisit characters from past volumes. - I love the Red River series of books. And the crazy part about that was that it wasn't her, it was her father, but she's never been able to outrun it, so she's always felt like the town outcast. Now, she's running an international sporting event there in order to get the hell out finally, except for one complication. She's been secretly seeing Langston Brooks for years. He wants more, but she doesn't want her baggage to tarnish his reputation, so she's called it all off now, since she's leaving after the event. Langston, however, isn't letting her go without a fight though, and as he's forced his way onto working the event, she can't get away from him or their chemistry. Yeah, he's something else, and he's playing to win now. So will he be able to get her to admit that she can't live without him? To admit to everyone that they're together? And finally get her to stay? You'll just have to read it to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
